If you have spent a night in Euljiro, you know the scene: the Euljiro 3-ga pocha street, the bar alleys, tables packed edge to edge, and a noise level where you lean in to hear your friend. That is the fun of it, right up until you actually want to talk. We opened Judorak Euljiro a short walk from that scene with a different idea. Room between the tables, a kitchen you can watch, and restrooms inside the restaurant.

What Euljiro 3-ga is like at night

After dark the alleys around Euljiro 3-ga Station fill with pojangmacha tents and small bars, and most of them are built for volume, not conversation. Foreign visitors love it, and so do we. But if you are meeting someone you want to hear, or you are four people who want one table, the classic Euljiro bar can be hard work.

We left room between the tables

Our space is split into an open kitchen you can sit near and a group section for larger tables. We did not pack the floor the way the old alley places do. Guests tell us it feels spacious for a Euljiro bar, and one reviewer put it plainly: many Euljiro places are small with tables crammed together, but here you can talk without worrying about the next table. That is exactly what we were going for.

Restrooms are inside, and separated

This sounds like a small thing until you have hunted for a decent restroom in Euljiro. Ours are inside the restaurant, separated for men and women, and air-conditioned. Guests have written that a clean, separated restroom is hard to find in the neighbourhood, and that ours even has air conditioning. In summer we keep the whole room cool, which guests notice the moment they walk in from the alley.

Seating and reservations

Seats near the open kitchen suit two people who like watching the cooking. The group section seats 6 to 8 people at one table. Reservations are open for 1 to 8 people at lunch and 2 to 8 at dinner; for more than 8, please call us. Last order is at 2:00 AM. Walk-ins usually get a table, but Friday nights and evenings with a group booking can fill up, so for a night that matters, book ahead. When you book, it helps to let us know:

  • How many people and what time you arrive
  • Whether everyone needs to sit at one table
  • Whether it is a birthday or a special occasion

How to get here

From Exit 10 of Euljiro 3-ga Station, turn into the first alley and walk straight; we are about 95 metres from the exit. The address is 1F, 13 Euljiro 14-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul. There is no parking, so come by subway or taxi. We serve lunch and stay open late.

Do you have an English menu?

We cannot promise a printed English menu on every visit. For guests bringing friends from abroad we wrote simple English descriptions of our main dishes: Explaining our menu to a foreign friend

Can I walk in without a reservation?

Most guests do. On Friday nights and when a large group has booked, you may have to wait, or we may be full, so if the night matters to you, please reserve.
