Yukjeon is the dish we would point to first if you asked what our kitchen is about. It is thin slices of beef coated in egg and pan-fried, and at Judorak Euljiro it comes as a plate on its own and also inside a hot pot, a lunch soup and two noodle dishes. One guest wrote that you must try it. Here is how we make it and where it turns up on the menu.
Beef yukjeon, 29,000 won, pan-fried one slice at a time
Our menu says it plainly: each slice is pan-fried by hand, one at a time. Guests tend to notice the size first; one wrote that the slices came out surprisingly large. Others describe the taste as nutty and tender, and one pointed out the fragrant chamnamul greens served alongside.
Five dishes on our menu include yukjeon
- Beef yukjeon, 29,000 won. A plate of pan-fried beef slices
- Suyuk jeongol with yukjeon, 43,000 won. A hot pot with boiled beef and yukjeon
- Yukjeon gomtang, 13,000 won. Long-simmered beef soup with yukjeon, lunch only
- Yukjeon makguksu, 11,000 won. Cold noodles in a light broth, topped with yukjeon
- Yuzu kal-bibim noodles, 14,000 won. Knife-cut noodles in a yuzu dressing with yukjeon on top
Guests who go for the hot pot write about the amount of meat and the broth, and one guest wrote that soju goes down easily with it. If you want yukjeon without a shared dish, order the plate; if you want it with something warm, the hot pot or the lunch soup is the way to go.
What people order with it
Perilla-oil makguksu is a common partner for the plate of yukjeon. One guest wrote that they love yukjeon and tried a bit of everything. One group on a company dinner ordered chicken yuringi, yukjeon and the boneless nurungji baeksuk together. Tell us how many you are and what you like, and we will help you order.
We have left out the cut of beef and the cooking details here; please ask our staff on the day. If you have an egg allergy, let us know before ordering.

Can I order yukjeon on its own?
Yes. The plate of beef yukjeon is 29,000 won. If you would rather have it with broth or noodles, choose the hot pot, the lunch soup or one of the two noodle dishes.
